Ray is an experienced coach with 25 years of experience with a focus on professional services firms, leaders working on multi-cultural teams and change leadership.
Ray is an ex-EY (Ernst & Young) Partner where he served and lead teams in Canada, US, Greater China and Asia-Pacific. Sample key projects include launching a new financial accounting advisory services business unit in Taiwan, supporting the change management and implementation of a new audit platform working with leaders and staff in 12+ countries across Asia-Pacific as well as key leadership roles in business development, talent development and operations. He also led a team of over ten Partners and 300 staff responsible for the firm’s largest business unit.
Over the last ten years, Ray has been a coach, mentor and advisor to individuals and teams facing a wide variety of opportunities and obstacles with a particular focus on change and transformation.
Ray also has extensive cross-cultural work experience including leading and managing teams from around the world. As a Chinese born Canadian Ray spent the first half of his career in Canada and the United States. He learned to work cross-culturally not only being based in Greater China but also responsible for business units in Asia-Pacific and client service teams across the globe. Ray’s effectiveness in the business world was his ability to adapt and work with teams across cultures. Today, Ray is a sought-after coach for global executives and teams.
In addition to his experience with large global and regional MNCs, Ray is also an active mentor, coach and investor to entrepreneurs and start-ups and SMEs.
Ray studied at the University of Waterloo, Canada and graduated with a Bachelor of Accounting and Masters of Accounting.
He is a Canadian Certified Professional Accountant and US Certified Public Accountant. He is also a ICF certified PCC, a trained Immunity To Change® (ITC) and Developmental Sprint ® facilitator.
