PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
As one of the first US returnees working in China’s Human Resources field in the early 90s, I am both well rounded in Human Resources management and specialized in organizational development and leadership development. Before joining HR, I was a business consultant in the US serving clients such as IBM, Federal Reserve Bank, etc. My HR experience spans across three industries: telecom, financial services and pharmaceutical while I worked for multinational companies in China, US and Hong Kong. My passion has been in elevating talent and organizational performance through practical and insightful HR consulting and solutions.
MY BELIEF IN COACHING
The power of coaching lies in its impact on coachees to transform. I believe everyone has a map that guides them to where they aspire to be. However, bombarded by all the noises and temptations around us, people lost their ways from time to time which leads to being in a sub-optimal state. Coaches’ role is to help coachees find their way back on their map and crystalize the directions. Since I started coaching 10 years ago, coaching has become my passion as I experience again and again people overcome their own limitations and achieve what they desire in work and in life.
WHAT IT'S LIKE TO WORK WITH ME
Coachees who benefit from my coaching are those who are committed to searching deep inside them what they need to do to reach a higher level of being and to become more focused on what truly matters to making progress toward their ultimate pursuit. The best coaching conversations are like two people dancing where the coach leads by listening intently and asking critical questions and the coachee searches deep into themselves for answers. I care deeply about each coachee and I also hold them accountable to their actions.

I have worked in US, China and HK for Fortune 100 companies. The environment I worked in has always had diverse culture identities. As HR leader, I need to coach people how to navigate through different culture and build consensus and develop teams. Having graduated from Thunderbird with an International MBA degree in 90s, and having lived as a nomad, I have naturally been comfortable adapting to different culture and people with different culture heritage.
As for the rest, I either have to do it as part of my job leading large team or coach line managers. As an executive coach, I have found most middle level managers in Chinese organizations face the issue of managing difficult employees, influencing upward and cross functionally. Often time helping coachee elevating their self-awareness and developing their EQ will make them much more effective in overcoming these challenges.
