Many of the above coaching areas are somewhat connected. It's hard to separate them and describe individually. I'd like to elaborate on "adapt to a new role" area which often associates with thinking comprehensively, strategic planning, delegating/motivating, agility, emotional intelligence, managing conflicts, and prioritizing/time-management to certain extents.
I supported many clients who faced the challenge of adapting to a new role, and who will step into a higher leadership role. First of all, gaining the trust of clients is crucial. With an understanding of particular challenges and focus on their short to long term goals, I often apply a three-latitude "stragegy" - situation, self and others, to open the angle and support them be crystal clear and conscious about their enviorment/situations, their own minds, styles, behaviors and skills, and the other critical factors surrounding and affecting their success. Then work together with clients seting up step by step objectives/goals, fomulating strategy/tactics, and supporting them to achieve one by one. Along the coaching journey/process, the challenges of delegating/motivating, developing agility, emotional intelligence, managing conflict, and prioritizing/time-management might emerge and evolve. With the overall success vision in mind, plus the delibrate practices, clients gradually develop skills, abilities and confidence to achieve their goals.
And the Team Coaching learning futher expands my perspectives to enable leaders' vision to a helicopter and systemic views, support teams create value for future.
