Calvin offers over 30 years of experience in sales, corporate leadership and consulting. He has in-depth and extensive exposure to American, European and Asian cultures. This enables Calvin to facilitate understanding of Western & Eastern cultures among senior leaders in China since late 1990s; where he helps local leaders assimilate global companies' corporate culture, values & beliefs into the local workforce.
Since becoming a performance consultant in 1995, Calvin serves clients from different industries such as IT & communications, electronics, manufacturing, professional & consulting services, chemical & pharmaceutical, banking & financial institutions, hotel & services, among others. What it means is that Calvin acquires a broad perspective of challenges and opportunities faced by different industries and at the same time, is able to identify common obstacles faced by leaders and their direct reports. Calvin invests time in understanding his clients' corporate vision and strategies before providing tailored solution which includes executive coaching, systems & tools implementation, leadership and competence development of the staff, as well as shaping their work motivation and mindset.
As a corporate leader himself, he is responsible for P & L, strategy development & implementation, key client management, sales team management, consultant development, among others. Therefore, he is very much hands on in leadership development, putting corporate deliverables in place, client retention and talent retention.
Calvin is a business graduate. He is an Certified Advanced Behavioral Analyst in DISC, Step II Administrator for MBTI and a Global Master Trainer for Ken Blanchard Companies. He speaks fluently in English, Mandarin and Cantonese. He lives in HK.

Gain clarity about what does a good coaching job looks like is crucial, this entails a good understanding of the corporate expectation towards the coachee over at least a 3-year period. Develop a good relationship with the coachee prior to the assignment helps in developing affinity with the person, helpful in trust building. Depending on the competence level, motivation and needs of the coachee, a spectrum of pull-push in driving the expected outcome can be used. Regular check-in helps to reinforce desired changes.
