Carl is a seasoned facilitator and executive coach with his primary expertise in the areas of leadership development and talent management. He has extensive experience as both an in-house and external consultant and is skilled in instructional design, as well as one on one coaching and facilitating coaching workshops. His clients include BASF, Akzo Nobel, Armstrong, Eli Lilly, AstraZeneca, Microsoft, Nora Flooring to name a few.
Previously he was an APAC Leadership Expert from Global Volvo Cars Academy where he played a strategical role in deploying the global program in APAC with local adaption to mid-senior leaders in the region. Similarly he was the Regional Learning & Development Director, Cargill, a world’s largest privately owned company mainly in agriculture and food industry headquartered in the US, responsible for APAC Leadership Academy. Prior to that, he also had worked for a few large multinational companies such as Cushman Wakefiled, Johnson Controls, Capgemini and Savills, for a various managerial positions at Greater China and regional COE level. Through all these years, Carl has not only been engaging in talent programs design and creation but also has become a passionate leadership facilitator and executive coach.
His insight and understanding of various cultures stems from over 21 years experience at both multinational companies and local enterprises, as well as 4 years of running his own marketing & event company before further pursuing academic excellence overseas.
His has been serving both the international and domestic clients, including Cartier, Natuzzi, Loreal, Nike, Eli Lilly and Bank of China to name a few while helped many leaders from front line managers to mid to senior executives to unlock their potential and reach to higher performance effectiveness
He was graduated from King’s college London, UK (Master) and Curtin University, Western Australia (Bachelor)
Meanwhile, he has been volunteering as a life and career coach for a NGO, Zhihui (职慧) – coaching university students from remote villages and towns in China who have difficulty in adapting to their life in new living environments. He is also a career coach for MBA professionals from Tongji university, as well as the Australia China Alumina Association ( ACAA) and a regular guest speaker and panelist for HREC in Shanghai.
