Introduction

Magdalena has been a leader for over twenty years and an executive leader for eight of those years. Her professional experience spans the public sector in areas of finance, healthcare, economic and community development, and public health. Magdalena is an accomplished leader and motivator, author, builder and collaborator.

Magdalena has served as President, Vice President, and Membership Chair for the American Society of Public Administration Central Texas Chapter; as President and Treasurer for the Strategic Housing Finance Corporation of Travis County; and currently serves as Chair of the Austin Independent Citizens Redistricting Commission. In 2014, she received Public Administrator of the Year award from the American Society of Public Administration Central Texas Chapter.

Magdalena is also an entrepreneur as principal owner and managing partner of a consulting firm she began in 2011.

Magdalena has a Master’s in Public Administration from Texas State University San Marcos and a Bachelor of Arts in political science from California State University San Marcos. In her spare time she enjoys serving her community through volunteerism, traveling the world and exploring new cultures, enjoying life with my family, cooking and baking, and physical fitness.
