S R V Subrahmaniam (Subbu) is a transformation specialist with over two decades of experience working and consulting with IT organizations of global corporations, helping them change the way they work, grow and are organized. Subbu specializes in Agile, culture, organization development and OKR offering consulting, coaching and thought leadership. He is based out of Chennai, India.

Subbu has been part of Enterprise-class software development engagements in early parts of his career, in varied domains such as automobile, telecom, utilities and building technologies leveraging Agile and servant leadership principles extensively to drive successful product and business outcomes. Some of his innovations in this space have been showcased in industry forums and conferences. Working as part of global teams, he has helped distributed teams to work as one unit organized in an Agile manner, with the adoption of digital tools.

For the past 7 years, Subbu has been leading large transformation programs in global corporations helping build organizational agility. He has a deep understanding of pacing these change programs in-line with the organization’s ability to absorb change, leadership’s willingness and charting the course in a roadmap. He has coached leaders to transform into newer roles and responsibilities, working on mindsets and behaviors to help them establish the culture in the change journey. He uses the GROW coaching model in his conversations with leaders.

He has deep expertise in facilitating the transition to lean structures with self-contained, self-organized, outcome-focused teams with performance evaluation based on team performance and peer feedback. As part of the organizational goal setting, he has facilitated large OKR workshops and helped firms, large and small, set and track OKRs. His interest area is to build an integrated view of how Agile teams can align to organizational outcomes with OKRs in the overall context of enterprise agility.

Subbu heads one of the chapters of the Business Agility Institute and is part of its global research team. He is a public speaker on agile, organizational culture, change management, and adaptive leadership. He is a reviewer for global events and a community organizer as well.

He is an avid tracker of weather, has abiding interests in wildlife and in wellness using natural foods and healing systems. He is a Maths graduate from the University of Madras with a Masters in Forestry Management and is a certified scaled agile framework consultant.

Subrahmaniam (Subbu) has been involved in large enterprise level change programs in global Corporations. His deep and immersive experiences in these programs have helped him appreciate the critical factors which help such transformation programs succeed. For instance, clear articulation of the need and willingness behind the program, sequencing the activities such that the disruption is minimal and change is seamless to the extent possible, making it outcome focused with OKRs, coaching the leaders into adopting more servant leadership and adaptive leadership styles and balancing the needs of operational efficiency versus innovation.
