Xiao has been working for leading American, European, and Australian companies for 27 years and for major Chinese companies for 11 years. He held general management positions with P&L responsibilities for over 20 years for both Chinese and Asia Pacific oriented businesses. He was a member of the global Management Executive Committee for divisions of two British companies.

Xiao has worked six years in total in Australia, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East and has traveled to over 40 countries for business purposes. He has a deep understanding of the similarities and differences between the culture and business practices of Chinese companies and those of foreign ones.

Xiao’s broad experience includes establishing businesses, sales management, market development, operational excellence, people leadership, organizational development, business restructuring, change management, and cultural alignment. He gained deep knowledge of the construction, steel building, building automation control, indoor climate solution, metallurgical machinery, and minerals equipment industries through his various positions. He has firsthand experience in business turnaround and successfully led the integration of a newly acquired company into its new parent organization to the expected standard.

Xiao holds an EMBA from Rutgers University and a Bachelor of Structural Engineering from Chongqing University.
