David is a former MNC Managing Director/CEO. He has accumulated, during his 28 years long international career with the Nestle Group, a rich and wide experience, both strategic and operational, in Market/Country Management, Business Unit Management and senior Sales and Marketing roles. David has been involved in multi-cultural work throughout his career with assignments in the USA, North-Africa, South-East Asia (Malaysia and Singapore), South-Asia (Sri Lanka and Maldives) as well as North-East Asia (South Korea, Mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan). Across his many roles, from the year 2001 onwards, David was fully responsible for top and bottom line results.

In addition to his operational experience, David also has Board experience gained in Sri Lanka, where Nestle Lanka is listed on the local stock exchange, in Maghreb (Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia) as well as in Mainland China.

Settled down in Mainland China, David also worked for almost three years in a large, local company listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange where he acted as the link between his Chinese employer and an acquired company in the UK facilitating communication and improving alignment among Senior Leadership.

David has a real passion for developing people and helping them realize their full potential. His favorite motto is “People make the difference”. David has performed “coaching on the job” in all his Senior Leadership positions through Nestle’s proprietary “Daily Coaching” Best Practices with the ultimate purpose of empowering staff at all levels.

David holds the degree of lic. oec. HSG / Masters in Economics from the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland. He is also a graduate of IMD’s Program for Executive Development (PED).

David lives in Shanghai with his wife and two children. In his free time, he pursues his passions, hiking and skiing. He stays fit with HIIT and weight training. David is also the President of the Shanghai Alumni Chapter of the University of St. Gallen.
