He does that by different means -writing in his blog, speaking in events, consulting- but executive coaching is one of the main ones. He is passionate about leadership, personal growth, coaching, the future of work, and learning about different cultures.
Iker has over 15 years of experience in senior HR leadership positions, advising and coaching managers and senior leaders at all levels.
He has worked in various European (France, Italy, Spain, UK) and Asian (China, India, Singapore) countries, speaks five languages fluently and is certified on Leading and Coaching Across Cultures - Cultural Orientations Framework. All this makes him the ideal coach for clients facing cross-cultural issues or wanting to adapt to new cultures.

Developing Cultural sensitivities: I have worked with several clients in this area, in Europe and Asia. The latest example is a Chinese senior leader who has relocated to Japan to run the business there. I am having a cultural dimension based coaching process with him to support him in his integration into a new culture.
Developing global outlook: I use the Cultural Orientations Framework with clients for them to understand their own culture and the differences with other cultures. By understanding the advantages of each cultural preference, they can leverage those differences and adopt a truly global mindset that allows them to be more successful.
Developing strategic vision: I have supported many coaches on their journey to develop a strategic vision that engages their teams and moves the business forward. In a constantly changing, VUCA world, having clarity of purpose is one of the most important leadership traits. Through questioning and various techniques, I help my clients define a long-term comprehensive vision.
Emotional intelligence: EQ is about understanding one's emotions, other people and their emotions, and managing and regulating those emotions and relationships with others. When I coach my clients, I always put special focus on the emotions: what they mean, how to listen to them, and how to regulate and utilize them to the fullest. Our emotions are our friends, they all have a function; we just need to learn how to listen to them. Once you learn how to listen to your own emotions, it becomes easier to have empathy and understand other people's emotions.
Prioritizing/time-management: this is a typical area of focus among my clients. There are different tools and techniques I usually use with my clients with great success.
Succession planning: as an HR director, I am an expert in succession planning! I've been defining succession plans for many years.
