Burnout can happen very often for senior managers, it negatively impact the resilience of leader when facing challenges and pressure from top leadership, and it leads to worsen relationship with team members, complaints from family members, bad temper and lack of self-care.
This could happen at many different stages of career development, for example, leading a new team, initiating a change program facing resistance, transition from a local company to a global company, and so on.
I have supported quite many coachees in their burnout.
